Let's Go Brass
היום התודעתי לחברה שוודית חדשה, יותר נכון חדשה בשבילי, כי Skultuna קיימת כבר 400 שנה ומתמחה בייצור של פריטים עיצוב מפליז וכסף.
עם מגמת הפליז של התקופה האחרונה חזרו המוצרים של החברה להיות פופולרים והיא אף התחדשה במוצרים נוספים, תוצאה של שיתופי פעולה עם מעצבים עצמאיים.
כבר זמן מה שרציתי להשתתף ב"חגיגת הפליז" הזו שצצה בכל פינה, ונראה לי שאין מתאים יותר מלעשות זאת באמצעות מותג וותיק, איכותי ומוערך, שהיה, הינו וישאר כאן גם הרבה אחרי שהטרנד העכשווי יעלם.
שיתוף הפעולה האחרון של החברה הוא עם סטודיו GamFratesi מקופנהאגן, שיצר עבורם סידרה של מגשי פליז עגולים מרופדים עור הנקראים Karui. פירוש המילה ביפנית- רכות, קלות. החוויה שאותה ביקש צמד המעצבים להעביר היא של פריט ביתי עם שימוש יומיומי ובלתי פורמאלי.
פריט נוסף שאהבתי במיוחד מהאוסף שלהם הם הפמוטים הסופר אלגנטים בעלי הרגל הדקה והגבוהה, בעיצובו של Richard Hutten ההולנדי. כשראיתי אותם ניזכרתי שפעם כבר ניתקלתי בהם בחנות עיצוב באמסטרדם והבטחתי אותם לעצמי יום אחד…תמיד נעים להתקל שוב ובמקרה בפריט אהוב.
Today I was introduced to a new Swedish company, more accurately new for me, because Skultuna has been around for 400 years and specializes in the manufacture of design items made of brass and silver.
With the recent brass trend the company's product became popular and even resumed additional products, the result of a collaboration with independent designers.
I looked for a long time for an interesting item to post about the current trend of brass and Seems appropriate to do this by introducing this old, quality and respected brand, who was, is and will remain here long after the current trend will disappear.
Recent collaboration of Skultuna is with studio GamFratesi from Copenhagen, Who created a series of round brass trays with leather base called Karui.
One of The Japanese meaning to Karui is: "“quick perhaps” which is the informal feeling we want with the trays, place and take our personal things on the tray becoming a functional and personal easy everyday gesture".
Another item I especially liked in their collection is the elegant candlesticks with high thin leg, designed by the Dutch designer Richard Hutten. When I saw them here I recall I already saw them once in a design store in Amsterdam and back then I promised myself to have them one day ... always nice to come across a favorite item again.
